July 1 marked the beginning of a new Rotary year, bringing together Rotarians from across District 5370 to celebrate service, leadership, and the impact we create in our communities.
The day began with the unveiling of Edmonton's new Peace Pole, commemorating the city's designation as an International City of Peace. It was a meaningful reminder of Rotary's commitment to building understanding, fostering connections, and promoting peace through service.
District 5370 was also honoured to welcome Rotary International Director Marty Helman as part of her Impact Tour: From Barrow to Bermuda. Marty spent time with Rotarians from across the district, sharing stories of Rotary's global impact and encouraging members to continue creating positive change in their own communities.
One of the highlights of the day was the official induction of Jeanette as District Governor for 2026–2027. Members of the Rotary Club of Edmonton Mayfield were proud to celebrate this special milestone and to support Jeanette as she begins her year of leadership.
As we begin this new Rotary year, we look forward to continuing our work in our community, strengthening friendships, welcoming new members, and embracing this year's Rotary International theme, Create Lasting Impact.
